Riro | Next‑Gen Salon Management Platform

Project Objective

The goal was to design Riro, a comprehensive salon management platform that simplifies every aspect of running a beauty business. From scheduling appointments and selling gift cards to managing clients and establishing an online presence, Riro needed to provide a professional yet approachable experience tailored for salon managers.

Challenges & Constraints

1. Balancing professionalism and friendliness: The platform had to feel credible and polished while remaining accessible and approachable to users of varying tech experience.

2. Complex workflows: Designing onboarding, service setup, client management, and subscription activation flows without overwhelming users.

3. Consistency at scale: Developing a scalable interface system that supports multiple features and future expansions.

Solution & Approach

1. Clean layout & design system. Using Filament Design System, I established a scalable set of design tokens, a consistent visual language, and modular components that support all areas of the platform.

2. Onboarding & setup flow. A step-by-step onboarding process guides salon managers through brand setup, service configuration, and subscription activation, reducing friction and ensuring a smooth start.

3. Feature-focused interface. Core functionalities, including appointment scheduling, client management, gift card sales, and online visibility tools, are designed with clarity and intuitive navigation in mind.

4. Professional yet approachable UI. The interface uses balanced typography, clear hierarchy, and subtle visual cues to make complex features feel simple and easy to use.

5. Scalable and adaptable. Every component and layout is designed for flexibility, allowing the platform to grow with new features while maintaining a cohesive user experience.
